Home Made Baby Cereal
This Baby Cereal is very easy and very much healthy to make @ home..My Sister-in-Law taught me this recipe and am sharing here who's looking for an alternate for Cerelac. And since this would be heavier for the baby, the serving suggestion may vary according to age and the best timing would be "Morning/Afternoon".
Ingredients:
Rice - 1 cup
Cumin seeds (seeragam) - 1 spoon
Channa Dal,Badam,Pista,Walnut,cashews - all in 1 cup
How to:
1. First, dry grind the Rice and Cumin seeds nicely to form a powder.
2. Then add the nuts and grind them nicely so tat the mixture turns like fine powder.
3. Since rice has been added,it should be powdered well for the rice to cook soon. Finally the powder looks like this:
Making the Baby Cereal:
1. In a Container, take 2 to 2 and half cups of water and add 4 tsp of the powder.
2. Add Sugar and allow it to cook for 5 to 10mins till you feel that the meal is cooked
3. Stir it occasionally to avoid lumps.
4. Then allow it cool for sometime and feed the baby.
Notes:
1. Cumin seeds allow easy digestion
2. Nuts provide healthy nutrients for the baby.
3. Kids who don like nuts to eat, like this yummy food.
4. Channa dal makes the baby look bubbly.
